What is this?
This app helps you easily create or remove a file called .nomedia in folders containing media files. It also refreshes the MediaStore immediately.

What is a .nomedia file?
A .nomedia file signals the media scanner to ignore media files in the containing directory and its subdirectories. This prevents the media scanner from reading your media files (images, videos, audio) and providing them to other apps (Gallery, Music Player, Video Player, etc.) through the MediaStore content provider.

If you want to scan all the photos/images/music/videos on your device and avoid loading useless or redundant files in apps like Gallery and Media Player, this app might be what you need.

Note:
The main purpose of this app is to prevent certain media files (that are considered junk) from appearing in specific apps based on the MediaStore. It is not a tool for hiding files or protecting privacy, as the files may still be visible in file manager apps.

How to use:
<ol>
<li>The application scans picture, video, and audio files from the MediaStore and file system, categorizing them by folder.</li>
<li>When a folder is set to "ON," it means that media files in this folder will not be scanned by the MediaStore. Otherwise, they will be scanned.</li>
<li>In the list view, click the folder preview to view folder details.</li>
<li>In the grid view, click the file preview to play the media file.</li>
</ol>

Warning: This app may not work on some devices. It may also cause files to be automatically deleted on some Samsung devices. You can still give it a try, starting with unimportant folders/files.
